Well, after 18 days of thinking about it-lol-I finally dove in to the Michelle's Crusade prompt for April: Cat Got Your Tongue? It's an exploration of text in your journal, something I am really 'skittish' about. Once the page starts to look good, I hesitate to write over it. So, I really needed this prompt. Here's what I have so far:

Technique: Hand painted/stamped background. Text in Illustrator & Photoshop.

Technique: Pen sketch and watercolor wash, white gel pen handwriting
and background paper. Small text on top right is computer-generated.

Love your "Crusade" explorations. I've been keeping an eye on them but haven't had the time to try them out. Maybe over the summer...Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jane,
How good of you, you must have been very busy! Maybe a bit stupid question (though I know there are no real stupid questions) but is the text on the first one biblical?? I love the second one most, the white pen on the blueish background and that hint of yellow/lime..
Thanks also for your nice and supportive comments on my blog, I really appreciate it.
Have a wonderful and creative week,
Regina
I really love your combo art...you do a really great job adding the digital elements!
Jane - love both of these! The high tech and the low tech, you do both very nicely. I hope this is a sign that you are going to be less skittish from now on *grin* Fab!! Thanks for sharing with the team.
Wow! These are great!!
Thanks for stopping by one of my blogs today because it led me here to yours. I'll definitely stop in again.
Really like both of these, Jane. I hope you'll be using text more in the future because I think you've done very well.
These are amazing! I love the one with blue and white penned over. Each one has a uniqueness of it's own. Very impressive. d

I really really love the one with the pen sketch of the woman. The bit of computer generated text is unexpected and just right.
