Make it Your Own-Crusade #31

TaDA! after months of longing for my own custom banner-I've done it! I've made one and, more importantly figured out how to get it on the blog LOL! Technology, you know. Anyway I took my inspiration from so many of my great blogging friends and 'made it my own'. Technique: Hand painted background, bleach, hand-carved and other stamps  Crusade #31 from Michelle Ward is in full swing and the deadline is July 1st. Join us if you can. You're sure to have a blast and learn new stuff. So, this is the first banner but probably not the last . . .
Have a good weekend!

oh Oh Oh---love that banner!! FABULOUS!! Love it! OUUU..I bet that banner is gorgeous in real life. I have tried to do a custom banner but kept running into hair tearing out snafus---banner too big, banner to small, didn't look good...you know the drill!!! Congratulations!!!

I'm envious...in a good way...you've taught yourself how to do two things and created something beautiful in the process. Very impressive!

Your banner is wonderful! It is hard, I know, it is almost time for me to make a new one and I never get it right until hours have passed... and your leaf page below is beautiful... Roxanne

I wish there was a "clapping hand" symbol for comments - because I applaud you for giving it a go and figuring out it. The new banner looks great :-)

This is a beautiful banner! I have been wanting to make my own, and you've reminded me to get going. I love how you used the bleach.

I love your banner--fascinating! Great work. And the last piece you posted, the happy accident, is wonderful too but it wouldn't let me leave a comment there for some reason.

Hi Jane! Congratulations on your very lovely banner! Isn't it such a great feeling to see your work at the top of your blog?!? I can't tell you how many banners I went through before I came up with one I really liked! And thank you for your very kind comment about the postcard... I'm really enjoying this "swap"... because when I'm done making the postcard, I have something to send out in the mail! Beautiful AND useful... does it get any better than that?!?!? :D xoxo, K.

Oh man, I am so jealous!!! I need to figure this out for myself as well, would love to switch them up a bit every now and then...fortunately, Michelle Ward did mine for me which got me out of trying to figure it out on my own! It's beautiful Jane...
