Well, every time I think it can't get any better, it does. I always enjoy Michelle Ward's Street Team and this month is even better than usual. Click
here to see what it's all about and join us if you can. The theme this month is "Make it Your Own" which is a big topic. Recently I've been inspired by the beautiful stencil work
here and
here and of course I am always inspired
here. So, I've been itching to try it. How to 'make it my own?' The stencils are store bought (so far) and that was part of the challenge. I've also been wanting to try ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) so- I combined the two and . . . here's what I have:
Technique: Subtle portion-control (wink-wink) all over with 'big Daddy' orange
stencil-on-top-of-stencil in the middle.

Technique: Spray paint over store-bought stencils. Metallic gold and other colors-the 'metallic' doesn't scan too well. I like the splatter and the random overlap. Is the house-work done? NOPE. Groceries in the fridge? NOPE "but seriously: do we really
need meat? . . .when HobbyLobby has so many delicious colors of spray paint?" LOL
Technique: Monoprint (top left), gesso-ed over and re-stenciled for a subtle effect. Hand carved stamp (bird) over background texture. Am I hooked on stenciling?
YOUbetCHA!

Gorgeous stuff!! You've really made this your own. So inspiring. :)
Housework gives you wrinkles anyway, so just don't worry about it. Love what you're doing it, I can see what fun you're having.
Your header looks really pretty, glad I can follow you now.
